Dear Broken Heart

The Dear Broken Hearts event brought together people from diverse walks of life, revealing a profound truth: many of us carry wounds because we are human. As beings created with inherent weakness, we often set high expectations for ourselves and others, forgetting that life’s trials are manifestations of Allah’s divine love and care. These tests are not meant to showcase our strength but to guide us toward surrendering to His will, trusting that He knows what is best for us. From the moment we entered this world through our mother’s womb, our path has always been designed by Allah.

This dunya is but a temporary phase—a space to worship Allah, remember Him, praise Him, and witness His presence in every aspect of our lives. Being human means learning and growing spiritually, developing resilience as we recognize that our past and future are inextricably tied to Allah. Although we may falter and commit sins repeatedly, sincerity lies in our persistence to change, aligning our hearts with Allah and striving to make Him the ultimate goal.

Even those with extensive knowledge and abundant worship are not exempt from feeling broken. Life presents countless challenges that test the heart. This is why it’s essential to adopt a holistic approach, nurturing the mind, body, and soul. Spirituality requires balance—managing thoughts, emotions, and the nafs—to navigate life’s complexities.

Perfection is not attainable in this dunya; it is not a scripted narrative of endless happiness. True happiness is not a fleeting concept but a spiritual experience—a state of peace, tranquility, and contentment in the heart, even amidst grief, fear, or pain. It’s the strength to stand with Allah, finding solace in Him rather than in anyone or anything else.

The event concluded with a Mawlid and Qiyam, reminding attendees of the healing power found in divine love and the Prophet ﷺ’s example. Loving the Prophet ﷺ connects our hearts to Allah, instilling a profound awareness that He is always with us. This dunya is a journey, but the akhirah is its ultimate continuation—a reunion with Allah.

May Allah ease our affairs, heal our hearts with His divine love and presence, and preserve Shaykh Mus’ab for his wisdom in guiding us through the spiritual journey to Allah, even in our brokenness.
