Imamus-Suyuti mentioned in Al-Khasa'isul-Kubra:
"Sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ is superior to the prostration of the angels to Adam for two reasons:
1. The prostration of the angels to Adam happened only once, whereas sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ is perpetual and never ceases.
2. Allah mentioned Himself along with the angels in sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, as He said: 'Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.' However, this was not the case with the prostration to Adam, as it was only the angels who prostrated to Adam without anyone else."
